Jay Schlosser, CPA, CVA, CHBC
Jay brings over 20 years of experience to his clients, most of it at Schlosser, Fleming & Associates, Ltd., and its predecessor, Attiliis & Associates, Ltd. Starting here in 1995 as a staff accountant, Jay worked his way up to Senior Manager before becoming co-owner in November 2014. His areas of expertise include providing tax and accounting services, management advisory, healthcare consulting, and business valuation services to his clients, primarily healthcare professionals. Jay’s special interests include tax planning for high income, high net-worth individuals, small businesses, trusts, and estates. He particularly enjoys guiding his clients through the intricacies of owning and managing small medical and dental practices from startup through retirement.
Jay is a Certified Public Accountant in Virginia and is a Certified Valuation Analyst, credentialed by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA). Jay is also a Certified Healthcare Business Consultant, credentialed through the National Society of Certificated Healthcare Business Consultants (NSCHBC). He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA), NACVA and NSCHBC.
In his spare time, Jay enjoys spending time with his wife, Mary, and his dog, Maggie, playing golf, and rooting for the Nationals. He also is an avid reader, movie enthusiast, and music lover.
John Fleming, CRPC, ChFEBC, CFS, CPFA
John is an investment professional with Schlosser, Fleming & Associates, Ltd., previously Attiliis & Associates, and has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry.
John joined Schlosser, Fleming & Associates, Ltd. in 2002 and is responsible for developing financial strategies to help our clients pursue their goals. He provides a holistic approach to wealth management, integrating tax and investment planning to deliver highly personalized financial solutions. His loyalty, attention to detail, and dedication to customer service are symbolic of his great appreciation of our clients. He is supported by a diverse, hardworking, and knowledgeable staff whose teamwork and professionalism help him develop rewarding relationships with existing and prospective clients and deliver superior customer service.
John is a proud graduate of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. John is a General Securities Representative, a Uniform Securities Agent, and a general and variable licensed life insurance agent. He has also obtained the Certified Fund Specialist (CFS), Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC), Chartered Federal Employee Benefits Consultant (ChFEBC), and Certified Plan Fiduciary Adviser (CPFA) designations. John is also a member of the National Association of Plan Advisors.
John resides in Brooke, Virginia with his wife, Malisa, and their three children Augustus, Theodore, and Estelle. When he is not working or spending time with his family, he enjoys exercising, playing guitar, fishing, and playing softball.
